Mission:

The mission of the BDC is to improve the quality of life in the Binghampton Community

BDC History:

The Binghampton Development Corporation (BDC) was founded in 2003 as an expanded commitment by Christ United Methodist Church to the Binghampton community.  The BDC is an independent, non-profit community development corporation with its own Internal Revenue Service’s 501 (c) 3 status.  The support base has significantly expanded to a number of individuals and several foundations, including the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and the United Way of the Mid-South.  Christ Church now provides approximately 20% of the BDC’s income.
